Wan is making her living as a freelance literary translator, while living not far from her mother’s home. She still has a video chat every week with a young animation writer she met when she studied in Europe, and is having an ambiguous relationship with a married man. One day, her mother begs her to come with her to an alumni reunion, arguing that it would be a good opportunity to write a book on the seniors. Despite Wan’s refusal, arguing that no one would ever be interested in reading this, she eventually joins her mother. During the reunion, her mother suddenly shares with her that she has once cached her husband in Wan’s bed with one of these friends. This revelation leaves Wan dumbfounded and lost in thoughts. But because of that, she’s now getting more interested in the elders’ lives and willing to write about them in order to better understand her mother.more
