The negotiation task force of the police is the one that gets called upon when a situation is deemed too volatile and dangerous to be resolved through the use of weapons, be it hostage-taking, suicide attempts or terrorist attacks. Seong-chan is always one step ahead of the persons he deals with, as he constantly assesses the situations, weighs the odds, and tries to keep the upper hand on the negotiations. But these impressive skills also pervade his personal life. On the other hand, lieutenant Myeong-ha is a poor speaker but makes up for it with her empathy and intuition that allow her to better understand people and find the right way to calm them. Hee-seong is a news anchor who quickly became the most trusted and respected journalist in the country after having covered one year ago a hostage situation in which Seong-chan and Myeong-ha were involved. But once the cameras are off, his only care is about his audience rates and his credibility, as he’s about to enter politics.more
